The event is being billed as a choral workshop and is open to singers of any standard who can follow a score. It starts at 2pm and the day will end with an informal public performance at 7.30pm.
Geoff Weaver is a freelance conductor and composer. He founded the Bath Youth Choir and Wyre Forest Young Voices and directs Wolverhampton Chamber Choir. He was formally Director of Music at Bradford Cathedral and Director of Studies at the Royal School of Church Music.
The performance is part of part of the St Mary’s ‘Music for Peace’ weekend.
On Sunday November 11 at 7,30pm a Concert for Peace will be held to mark the centenary of the Armistice. There’ll be folk and traditional music from countries in the world currently affected by conflict.

Money raised will go towards the new St Mary’s Centre, which supports Hackney Winter Night Shelter, Hackney Migrant Centre and the Food Bank.
