THE ASSEMBLY MARKET
Back by popular demand, The Assembly Market is returning with a new line up of 35 of the best slow and ethical designers and makers in the UK working in fashion, interiors and print and assembled together by Jannine Newman founder of Hackney based loungewear company Under The Cloth (@underthecloth)
The Assembly Market provides a much needed platform for independent fashion and interior designers who don’t fit into a regular craft market and each brand brings it’s own beautiful aesthetic and a commitment to making sustainably; the ethos is very much, buy less and buy better’.
This year, the line up is equally as impressive, and really exciting news is that Hub Shop, the Assembly Market’s favourite boutique, will be at the Assembly with ‘Allsea’, their own in house label.
There will be something for everyone; stunning leather bags from M.Hulot, gorgeous easy linen clothing from Nadinoo, beautiful dresses from London’s Justine Tabak and Alice Early, mid century inspired artwork and prints from Herald Black, select vintage homewares from Vintage Curator, kidswear from Monty & Co and jewellery from Ruddock Jewellery and really importantly, there is a changing room so you can try before you buy.
Everyone is welcome including kids and dogs and there will be coffee and cake and a sit down area, which was hugely popular at the last market with sellers and customers. This event is about showcasing great ethical brands, building a dialogue between designers and customers and for designers to meet other likeminded artisan makers; this really is one of the most feel good markets you will visit.
It will run over the weekend of the 04/05 May and all details will be posted to the website before the event and you can also follow on Instagram @theassemblymarket.
