The friendly market town of Wymondham plays host to independent shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants.

The iconic Market Cross still stands today having been rebuilt after the Great Fire of Wymondham in 1615. The popular Green Dragon Pub can be dated back to the 1300s and was the only pub to survive the great fire. Legend has it that there’s a tunnel from the pub directly to the Wymondham Abbey, which was home to the monks centuries ago – the pub being their favoured local watering hole!

The active and connected community groups attract a diverse population within the town, which also has its own art gallery, leisure centre and library. The heritage railway proves popular with families in the summer and the Bridewell Museum is a must-visit attraction too.
