The culturally diverse market town of Watton lies in the centre of an area known as Wayland.

Legend has it that nearby Wayland Woods was the setting for the cruel fairytale of the ‘Babes in the Wood’, and they are even depicted on the local town sign.

The Wayland Agricultural Show in western Watton is one of the oldest agricultural shows in England, operational since the late Victorian times.

There’s a great mix of independent and national retail outlets and all the services and amenities associated with larger towns in the area. Nearby, Thompson Common is a Site of Special Scientific Interest with examples of rare fauna and flora.
